University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced its First Annual Sporting Clays Classic, the proceeds from which will benefit the expansion of Comprehensive Breast Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health. The Sporting Clays Classic will be held on Saturday, June 13 at The Point at Pintail in Queenstown. Participant registration will begin at 8am with the shoot beginning at 9am; all participants must be on the course by 12pm.
The event will feature 75 targets, lunch for participants and various prizes, raffles, a silent auction and side games. Gun prizes will be awarded for High Over All (HOA); first place in each Lewis Class; first place ladies; and first place juniors. Prizes will also be awarded for the second and third place shooters in each category.
Participants registering by May 15 can enjoy Early-Bird Registration fees set at $400 per team of four or $100 per individual shooter. The event is limited to 250 participants.
In April 2016, the Comprehensive Breast Center at UM Shore Regional Health, under the leadership of Roberta J. Lilly, MD, MPH, FACS, will be expanding its services to the Diagnostic and Imaging Center, located at 10 Martin Court in Easton, which is currently undergoing renovation. Once completed, the expanded space will provide a variety of breast health services including consultation and diagnostic procedures.
“Our expert team at the Comprehensive Breast Center, which includes Dr. Lilly, our seasoned radiologists and the Center’s staff, are thrilled about the opportunity to provide expanded breast health services, in a centralized location, to the women of our region,” remarks Brian Leutner, Director of Oncology Services for UM Shore Regional Health. “We are immensely grateful to the Foundation and to the members of our local communities participating in the upcoming Sporting Clays Classic for their continued support of the breast health services provided at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.”
