Rock Hall Mayor and 36th District Delegate candidate Jay Jacobs was the last candidate to be interviewed in the Chestertown Spy and WCTR’s Election Profiles series. A fourth generation native of Rock Hall, Mr. Jacobs has served as the town’s mayor for eleven years. He has also served as president of several volunteer and agency boards, including the Kent County Council of Governments, Queen Anne’s Co. Alcohol & Drug Advisory Board, and the Maryland Mayor’s Association. He also remains active in the Kent County Community Marching Band. Mr. Jacobs shares with WCTR’s Keith Thompson and the Spy’s Dave Wheelan his views on what needs to be done in Annapolis to support local businesses, maintain support for family farms, and protect the Chesapeake Bay.
