Bowman Now Presiding

Paul M. Bowman has been appointed judge of the Circuit Court for Kent County.

Bowman, named to the bench today by Gov. Martin O’Malley, fills a vacancy on the court created by the retirement of J. Frederick Price.

Bowman served for more than two decades as Town Attorney for Chestertown and for several years as Town Attorney for Millington. He is a past president of the Kent County Bar Association and a past member of the Kent County Ethics Commission.

He has served on the board of directors of Kent Youth, Inc., which provides services to at-risk youngsters.

In naming him to the post, the governor praised Bowman for demonstrating “deep dedication to community service, hard work and bettering the practice of law.”
